TriStar Bank Announces Staff Changes
Additional Mortgage Lending Officers and Retirement of Founding Member
Dickson, TN, February 24, 2014— TriStar Bank announced the addition of two long time mortgage lenders to their mortgage banking area. Lisa James and Gary Davis joined the bank in December, 2013. Additionally, Melissa Street, founding member of TriStar Bank, announced her retirement in 2014.
Lisa James is a graduate of Hickman County High School and attended Columbia State Community College. She is a licensed mortgage professional with the State of Tennessee and has worked in mortgage lending for the past twenty two (22) years. Her previous mortgage banking experience includes Vice President of Middle Tennessee Mortgage, Inc. for the past thirteen (13) years and Mortgage Loan Officer for Peoples Bank for five (5) years. Lisa commented, “I am excited to have the opportunity to work with a community bank and look forward to providing quality mortgage products and meeting the needs of my business partners.” Lisa and her husband, Terry, live in Centerville and have one (1) son, Brandon.
Gary Davis is a graduate of Charlotte High School, Mid-South School of Banking, Memphis, TN and, American Bankers Association School of Real Estate Finance, Madison, WI. He is also a licensed mortgage professional with the State of Tennessee and has worked in mortgage lending for the past thirty five (35) years. Gary owned and served as President of Middle Tennessee Mortgage, Inc. in Dickson from 1986 until December 2013 when he began his employment with TriStar Bank. He previous worked with the former First National Bank in Dickson as well as United American Bank in Dickson and Third National Bank in Nashville. Gary commented, “Throughout my career in mortgage lending, my most satisfying accomplishment has been helping thousands of middle Tennesseans achieve home ownership. I look forward to continuing that tradition with TriStar Bank.” Gary lives in Dickson with his wife, Karen.
Ted Williams, President and C.E.O. commented, “Adding two new mortgage lenders with such a wealth of experience helps to further strengthen our already strong mortgage lending department. I am proud to get to work with Lisa and Gary.”
Melissa Street, one of the founding members of TriStar Bank announced her plans to retire in 2014. She currently serves as the bank’s Executive Vice President and Chief Credit Officer and as Secretary on the Board of Directors for TriStar Bank. She will continue in her role with the board. Melissa stated, “I am looking forward to spending more time with my family, spending time on the lake and just enjoying the "simple life". I will miss the many customers and friends that I have had the pleasure to come to know over the last 38 years of my banking career and especially my co-workers at TriStar Bank. My fellow bankers are ready to provide outstanding service to my clients. Being able to be a part of the organization of TriStar Bank since 1999 has been an amazing journey and I am looking forward to the future. I am excited to continue my involvement as a member of the Board of the Directors.” Melissa is a native of Cheatham County and has lived in Dickson since 1972. She is a graduate of Dickson County High School and began her banking career in 1976 for Stayton Bank and Trust in Dickson. Melissa’s previous experience includes Executive Vice President and Senior Lender for Peoples Bank where she also served on the Board of Directors.
