TriStar Bank Announces New Board Member and Officers

Dickson, Tenn. June 1, 2010:  Jerry V. Smith, Chairman of the TriStar Bank Board of Directors announces the addition of Kevin Smith to the board of directors. Kevin Smith’s appointment follows the annual shareholder’s meeting of TriStar Bancshares, Inc. where the shareholders approved him to serve as a director of the bank.

 “Kevin is a valuable asset to our community and to our bank.” said Jerry Smith, “and we are thankful for his willingness to serve with us. His business acumen and community involvement will be a great benefit to our bank.”

Kevin Smith has been the president of Benefits, Inc. since its opening in 2001. He serves on the board of directors for the Dickson County Chamber of Commerce, and he is a member of the Dickson Lions’ Club and the Oak Avenue Church of Christ.

Ted Williams, President and CEO of TriStar Bank also announced officer appointments after the TriStar board meeting on April 20th. The following officers were promoted to new positions:

Sharon Ferrell, Executive Vice President: Ferrell has worked in the banking industry 35 years, and is one of the original 12 people who began working for TriStar, when the bank opened on January 1, 2000, one second after midnight. She also serves as the Bank Secrecy Officer and Chief Information Officer.

David Hatcher; Executive Vice President: Hatcher serves as TriStar’s Senior Lending Officer and Chief Retail Officer. Hatcher will lead the retail side of TriStar, involving the branch network and mortgage loan development. He will be responsible for loan and deposit growth. He has worked in the banking industry since 1991, and serves on the TriStar Board of Directors and Dickson County Help Center Board of Directors.

Kevin Wilson, Senior Vice President: Wilson has worked in banking over 30 years, and serves a TriStar’s Loan Review officer.  His past experience includes five years as an examiner for the Tennessee Department of Financial Institutions; he is also a member of the Dickson County Leadership class of 2010.

Donnie Wills, Senior Vice President: Wills joined TriStar after the bank acquired its Kroger supermarket branch from National Bank of Commerce and is currently in his 25th year of banking. He also serves as TriStar’s Branch Administrator, and is a member of the Kiwanis organization and the White Bluff Church of Christ.

Other officer promotions include Ann Petty to Vice President, Michelle Street to Branch Manager, and Thomas Phy to Branch Manager.
